Rent high-end clothes and accessories in seconds using RePack
HURR Collective is the UK’s first peer-to-peer wardrobe rental platform, and they are on a mission to make renting an everyday occurrence, whilst paving the way towards a more sustainable future. HURR shows how circular fashion can be put into action.
As a startup championing sustainable fashion, they’ve searched high and low for a packaging company with a simple solution to the growing problem of e-commerce waste. As a fashion rental look and feel of the packaging is important too, packaging is, after all, a statement.
Also, since renting clothes is all about reuse, it just didn’t make sense to ship them in single-use!
How HURR implemented reusable packaging for its members
In a rental business, packages travel back and forth between the owner of the garments and the person renting it through the platform. Someone will keep the items for a couple of days, others for a week or so. No matter how long the rental period, items will need to be returned and returning them in the same packaging as the delivery was made makes sense, both environmentally but also from user experience point of view.
HURR decided to use our Closed-Loop model for RePack and to give the possibility to its community of renters to pack their order in RePack.
On HURR's peer-to-peer platform, rentes can simply order a RePack to be used as the delivery packaging when they rent our clothing. Once selected, RePack is delivered to their homes convenienlyt in letter size, so no annoying collection from out od home location or waiting for the delivery driver. RePack is simply delivered as any mail, through the door, as a letter. That's convenience.
Once delivered, the renters use RePack for all their rental orders, and once the RePack is too damaged, all they have to do is to drop it in a postbox with the return label to be refurbished.
We take them back for deep cleaning, recycling or upcycling!
Rental really is the ideal environment to use reusable packaging.
